What is a profiles and how to create them?
A profile is a list of settings that contains all the configurations for uploading your Shopify product to the eBay marketplace. You can create a profile while uploading products, and there are different configurations for uploading them.Once you have created a profile, you can select from the existing one, which helps you save time.
How do I create a profile?
Once you select the Shopify products/collections to upload, you will be redirected to a page where you can create or choose a profile.
Existing profiles
- It shows a list of previously created profiles. If you have already created a profile, you will see this option to choose it. If you don't see it, don't worry; you can once it is created.
Business Policies
- When uploading a listing to eBay, you will need to set up business policies. These include Shipping Policy, Payment Policy, and Return Policy. If you don't have these policies or want to create new ones, you can click on the link in the banner to be redirected to a page on eBay where you can set up your policies. After creating your policies on eBay, click on "Fetch Business policies from eBay." link.
Category and Its Attributes
- In the categories section, you must select a category in which the products you have selected will be listed on eBay. So, choose your categories carefully. Here, you can search your categories with a keyword and scroll down to load more.
- Once you have selected a category, you will be shown the conditions and attribute mapping required for that specific category. Some Categories on eBay might not need any conditions or attribute mapping.
- While selecting the attribute mappings, some of the attributes might be multiple-selected, and some might be single-selected, so depending on the type, please select the attribute. Here you can select from the list given by eBay so you can map it to the listed Shopify attribute.
Inventory Settings:
- eBay limits the seller on the listing that can be listed and sold. You can easily view your seller limits by visiting your eBay seller hub. So for this case, you can either request eBay support to increase the limit or limit the inventory sent to eBay while uploading products from our app.
** Price Settings:
**
- Price setting options let you increase or decrease the price of the products you upload to eBay by a fixed amount or by a percentage. Select wisely and change the price that best suits your needs.
Title Settings:
- While uploading products to eBay, if you want to add a prefix or a suffix to Shopify's product title, Title Setting will be helpful. You can enable this checkbox and set the required prefix and suffix.
Shopify to eBay Sync Settings:
- These are the Shopify update sync settings for eBay. If you want to synchronize the updates made in Shopify to eBay, please enable these settings. If not, you can disable these settings.
Item Location:
- If your shipping location is different from the registered location in eBay, eBay will give you an error while uploading products. In this case, you can set the item location here based on your shipping location on eBay.
Profile Name:
- Once you have filled out all the details in the profile, you can save the settings with a profile name. These settings can be used for automatically selecting the profile with the same setting for the next time you upload again to eBay. Please make to give a proper name explaining the configurations you have set. Once you fill it out, you can proceed to upload the products.
